Roger Can Be Wrong. Now You Can Say So Without Deleting the Question.

Every Ask Roger card gets a β€œThis answer looks wrong” button. Report it, say why, and the commissioner sees it β€” the question stays right where it is.

The Full Story

Two of Roger's answers turned out to be wrong this month, and both took an embarrassingly long time to catch. The taxi squad ruling stood for seventeen days. The 5th-year option card had the wrong salary formula on it since March. In both cases somebody read the wrong answer, moved on, and nobody had a way to say anything.

That's because there wasn't one. The only lever on a bad answer was the commissioner's delete button, and deleting is a blunt instrument β€” it throws away the question along with the answer. The owner who asked it loses their card, their name comes off it, and the next person with the same question starts from scratch. So nothing got deleted, and wrong answers just sat there.

Now every card has a β€œThis answer looks wrong” button. Hit it, optionally type what's actually wrong, and it's logged. The card picks up a red banner so the next owner scrolling past knows not to lean on it, and the commissioner sees who reported it and why. Changed your mind? Undo it. Nothing gets deleted, ever.

Worth knowing: this works on the pinned League Office cards too, not just the ones Roger writes on the fly. The 5th-year option mistake was on a hand-written card, which is exactly the kind nobody thinks to double-check. And a correction to the rulebook still doesn't rewrite an answer that's already on the page β€” Roger writes each one once and it stays written β€” so flagging it is what actually gets it looked at.
