Every AFL Franchise Gets a Trophy Room
AFL franchise pages now open with a four-tier trophy room β every AFL Championship, conference, division, NIT, tier, and old AFL Cup title since 2004, each badge stamped with the year it was won, and the ones you havenβt won faded out so everyone can see exactly whatβs missing.
The Full Story
For years the only way to settle whoβd actually won what in the AFL was to argue about it in the group chat until someone gave up, and the franchise pages werenβt much help β a lone βChampionshipsβ counter that lumped a dynasty and a one-hit wonder into the same tidy little number. Hardware deserves better than a footnote.
So every AFL franchise page now leads with a trophy room, sorted into four tiers β Championships, Conference Titles, Division Titles, and Consolation Titles β going all the way back to 2004. Every single win is its own badge, stamped with the year, so a three-peat looks like a three-peat. It covers the whole history: the AFL Championship, AL and NL crowns, all the division titles (including the long-gone AL Central and NL Pacific from the six-division days), the NIT, both tier titles, and the old AFL Cup. Win the AFL Championship and you automatically get your conference badge too, because you had to win the conference to get there. And it follows the owner, not the franchise slot β so a title you won under an old team name still lands on your wall, even if someone else has your old number now.
Anything active you havenβt won yet β AFL Championship, Premier League, your division, your conference β sits there faded and labeled βNo division titles,β βNo AFL Championships,β and so on. Motivation or a personal attack, depending on your franchise. Head to your page and see how the case looks; some of you are going to need a bigger room.
