PPR for RB's?

Postby braven112 on Sun Sep 21, 2008 3:12 pm

A few people have suggested that we add PPR for Running Backs. I wanted to get some opinions from everyone before we make a vote on this. Obviously we aren't going to change the rules for this season but in order for a scoring change to take effect next season its important that every is given some time to adjust their strategies so I want to get the dialog going early if people do want this change.

I support and would like to see .5 pts per reception for RB's....

Same as WR's - no, I think I'd bump them up to .75 per reception.
Though you could also just bump RB's down to .33 or .25 per reception.
Let me run some numbers and see what a value based draft looks like both ways.

I think it makes most sense to start by making PPR for RB's .5 while bumping up WR's to .75 ....

I like this idea.

And it has nothing to do with having Westbrook on my roster.

Personally I think its a must... A player should get credit for what he does on the field (exception being Punt and Kick returns) and at the same time WR should get rushing yards for a carry they get here and there. Take Percy Harvin as the example here. He's prolly gonna get as many pass catches as he does rushing carries. I guess the way things are set up he's only getting credit for half his production? That would really suck...

But as always, I'm fine the way things are and this is just my opinion.

No I think you may be misunderstanding. Percy Harvin gets credit for everything he does, rushing, passing, if he kicks a field goal he gets the points, the question here is simply for Point per "receptions" not points for yards, everyone gets credit for yards but currently TE's get 1 PPR and WR's get .5 PPR

So the question is more if we did this how would we award the points for receptions?

1.5 for TE's, 1 for WR's and .5 RB's

or

1 for TE's, .5 for WR's and .25 or RB's
